The challenge: an urgent need at a busy restaurant

555 Thainanese needed an emergency queue-management solution for a restaurant turning over more than 200 tables a day. The brief called for a custom app delivered quickly enough to address an immediate operational need.

A custom queue app within 12 hours

Digital Seed built the custom queue app within 12 hours. The guest-facing experience runs in the browser, allowing customers to join the queue without downloading an app.

A straightforward journey from arrival to table

Guests enter their name, mobile number and party size, with an optional email address, to request a queue number. They can keep their ticket open to follow their turn, while the entry page shows the number of parties ahead.

Customer analytics and Meta retargeting

The solution includes customer analytics and ad retargeting through Meta platforms, connecting the queue-management project with the restaurant’s wider customer and marketing activity.

The result: rapid delivery for a high-volume operation

The delivery milestone is the 12-hour build. The restaurant’s daily table turnover describes the scale of the operation served, rather than an increase attributed to the app.

Planned next phase: table awareness and automated guest alerts

A planned extension will use an AI-powered camera to detect when a table has been cleared. That signal would connect to an AI chatbot to notify waiting customers when a table becomes available.

Planned insights for operations and advertising

The roadmap also includes average visit-duration reporting and audience insights to help the restaurant understand who visits and plan its advertising more effectively. Table-occupancy analysis would support timing insights, while audience personas would draw on aggregated visit patterns and customer information shared with appropriate permission, rather than assumptions about personal characteristics from camera images.

These camera and chatbot capabilities are planned developments, not features delivered in the initial 12-hour build.
